The Rally Driving Experience

We've all watched Rally racing and are amazed at how these drivers can fly through the countryside and execute sharp turns and the last possible moment.

Rally driving experiences come in a variety of lengths and varieties. Lower priced packages are commonly referred to as "tasters" and allow you to whet you appetite for driving a rally vehicle by completing a few laps.

Half and full day packages are more popular and allow you to get more in-depth instruction from qualified staff as well as increased time behind the wheel of the vehicle.

Rally Driving Experience Prices

Most Rally driving experiences start out with an orientation of the course and vehicle by a qualified instructor, starting at around £69.00. They'll take you around the circuit and give you tips on how to operate the vehicle, when to brake, and techniques to use such as a hand brake turn. Once they're satisfied that you're aware of what needs to be done, they'll keep you in the passenger seat and perform a lap at their top speed and to the best of their ability. These incredible passenger rides are sometimes worth the cost of the Rally driving experiences in itself.

Once it's you're turn behind the wheel, you'll be timed and compared against others. The instructor will remain in the vehicle and guide you through the course, giving you tips on how to improve your times. Some of the techniques you'll learn include the aforementioned handbrake turns, skid control, power slides, brake and turn plus over and under steering. All of this while trying to drive the vehicle as fast as you can and sending a cloud of dust behind you.
